Exhibition Call For Entries – Submission Fee

Description

We’re accepting submissions of up to 10 images for a new series of exhibitions at our soon to be expanded Detroit area gallery space. If selected, the artist will be responsible for an exhibition fee that covers the cost of producing their exhibition print(s), the opening, and promoting the physical exhibition. The prints in these exhibitions will vary in scale, and we know that some artists like for their work to be seen larger and more expansively. But we also know some artists would like an opportunity to participate as affordably as possible (and larger prints obviously cost more to produce). So to accommodate everyone, we’re giving you several print size options to choose from. So please select the maximum size you’d be comfortable being selected for. You’ll still be considered for smaller sizes as well. Even if you’ve already submitted in the past (or we’ve already featured your work), please submit to this call if you would like the opportunity to be part of this series of exhibitions. If you can’t afford the submission fee, please contact me and we’ll figure something out.

Subjectively Objective founder Noah Waldeck will be using the same expert techniques he uses to make museum quality prints for his custom lab clients, so you can be confident your images will never have looked better in print. After the conclusion of the exhibition you participated in, we’d be happy to send your show print to you if you’d like (you’ll just need to pay for shipping).

This is an open call with no specific theme, as this will allow us the greatest ability to create a variety of interesting exhibitions. Our primary focus is on contemporary landscape and documentary photography, but even if your work falls outside of that, please don’t hold back from submitting. Even if we don’t find a place for your work in one of these exhibitions, we’ll be looking for every opportunity to use it for something else, including our Substack Features, Instagram Features, and Mini and Monthly Monograph Magazines.

Size Options

• Small Print (15×12” or equivalent size in other aspect ratios) – $30 Per Image Exhibition Fee if selected
• Medium Print (18.75×15” or equivalent size in other aspect ratios) – $45 Per Image Exhibition Fee if selected
• Large Print (25×20” or equivalent size in other aspect ratios) – $65 Per Image Exhibition Fee if selected
• XL Print (30×24” or equivalent size in other aspect ratios) – $90 Per Image Exhibition Fee if selected
• XXL Print (40×32” or equivalent size in other aspect ratios) – $150 Per Image Exhibition Fee if selected

• Full 8′ Wall (accommodates a wide variety of layout options including two 40×32” prints, four 27.5×22” prints, six 21.25×17” prints, eight 17.5×14” prints, nine 16.25 x13” prints, and ten 15×12” prints)  – $300 Exhibition Fee if selected, and we’d of course discuss further details.

• Full 8′ Wall with Larger Prints (accommodates a wide variety of layout options including four 40×32” prints, four 35×28” prints, six 25×20” prints, eight 18.75×15” prints, nine 25×20” prints, nine 20×16” prints, and nine 18×14.5” prints) – $350-600 Exhibition Fee if selected, and we’d of course discuss further details.

• Multiple 8′ Walls (this for those open to the possibility of participation in a small group show or even a solo exhibition) – $600+ Exhibition Fee if selected, and we’d of course discuss further details.
